Mrs. Patricia L. Bittner, 73, of Breezewood, passed away at 2:20 AM, Sunday, May 20th, 2012 at her home.

Mrs. Bittner was born in E. Providence Twp. on Wednesday, August 31, 1938,  the daughter of the late Raymond C. and Edna Mae (Wilkinson) Koontz.

On September 15, 1962, she married Marshall L. Bittner.  He preceded her in death on July 26, 1996.

She is survived by  Daughter- Sandra L. Bittner and fiancé Doug Frazer, Falling Waters, WV; Sister- Gladys Tull, White Oak; Brother- Clarence "Jack" Koontz, White Oak; Sister- Doris Ayers, West Mifflin; Sister- Mary Ann Conner, Everett; Brother-in-Law- L. Frank Bittner husband of  Alice (Critchfield) Bittner, Everett.  Patty is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her son, Charles L. Bittner, a brother, Robert Koontz, three sisters, Betty Datig, Shirley Kline and Evelyn "Evie" Bulger and by two nephews, Gary Koontz and David Bittner

Patty was a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Breezewood.  She was a 1958 graduate of Northern Bedford High School and was employed at the Shell Station SAC Shop in Everett.  Patty was a former president and member of the Everett' Women's Club.  She was very involved with her children's extracurricular activities during their school years.  Patty loved spending time with her family, especially with her brothers and sisters' grandchildren.  Patty was an animal lover, she especially enjoyed taking care of her daughter's dogs.  She was an avid NASCAR follower, first as a Dale Earnhardt Sr. fan and then as a fan of Junior.

Patty was a loving mother, sister and aunt and will be remembered for her generous spirit and vibrant personality.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held  at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Raystown Road, Everett at 2:30 PM on Thursday, May 24th, 2012.

Interment will be held at  Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Cemetery, Mattie.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
