Mr. Park D. Williams, 79, of Pitt St., Schellsburg, died Monday, October 5th, 2015 at his home.

Mr. Williams was born in Schellsburg on Thursday, December 5, 1935,  the son of the late James A. and Eva G. (Davis) Williams.

On November 3, 1963, he married Sylvia J. (Shippey) Williams.    In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- E. Parker husband of Diana (Thomasson) Williams, Camp Hill; Son- Douglas K. Williams, Pittsburgh; Daughter- Dana E. wife of Keith Zeigler, Osterburg; Grandchildren- Bryce, Conor, Collin, Miranda, Grace & Alexandra; Step-Grandchild- Erin; Sister- Fay E. Williams, New Holland; Brother- James B. husband of Pamela Williams, Schellsburg; Sister- Mary E. widow of John Bullington, Manns Choice; Brother- Roger L. husband of Cindy Williams, Schellsburg and a number of nieces and nephews.

Park was a member of United Church of Schellsburg.  He was employed as a rural carrier for the United States Postal Service and then went on to retire as the Schellsburg Post Master.  Park served in the US Army and was a member of the Bedford American Legion Post #480 and the Schellsburg VFW Post #4440, where he served as Quarter Master.

Park was very active in the local community.  He was a life member and former secretary and Chief for the Shawnee Valley Volunteer Fire Company.  Park was a member of the Bedford County Firemen's Association and the PA Central District Firemen's Association.  In addition, he was a member of the Schellsburg Borough Council and President of the Schellsburg Municipal Authority.

Park was a gifted musician and played in many area bands, including the Fishertown Community Band for 50 years and founded the Park Williams Combo.

Park was a loving and generous husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed

A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 8th, 2015 with Rev. Ruth Shaver officiating.

Interment will be held at Schellsburg Cemetery.  Graveside military honors will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-9 PM at the funeral home in Schellsburg.
