Olive M. (Hillegass) Hughes

Mrs. Olive M. Hughes, 87, of Canton, OH died Monday, September 1st, 2014 at Aultman Compassionate Care in Canton.

Mrs. Hughes was born in Manns Choice on Wednesday, January 19, 1927,  the daughter of the late Albert and Sarah (Corley) Hillegass.

She married John J. "Jack" Hughes and he preceded her in death on February 16, 2000.

She is survived by  Daughter- Cindy L. wife of  Donald Untch, Westerville, OH; Daughter- Cathy A. wife of  Gary Lepore, Massillion, OH; Sister- Blanche wife of  William Koontz, New Enterprise. She is also survived by two granddaughters, two grandsons & four great grandsons. She was preceded in death by her son, William Hughes, two brothers, Paul "Forney" Hillegass & Glenn Hillegass and by three sisters, Ruth Holler, Mildred Hillegass & Freda Miller.

Mrs. Hughes was of the Presbyterian Faith and was employed as a waitress for 32 years.

A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 5th, 2014 with Rev. David Weinhold officiating.

Interment will be held at Schellsburg Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Friday from 12:30 - 2:00 PM at the funeral home in Schellsburg.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Hughes to the American Heart Association or to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
