Norma Jean (Bridaham) Sone

Mrs. Norma Jean Sone, 89, of Chalybeate Road, Bedford died Tuesday, February 2nd, 2016 at Colonial Courtyard.

Mrs. Sone was born in Bedford Township on Saturday, May 1, 1926,  the daughter of the late John Henry and Ruth Arvilla (Mock) Bridaham.

On September 6, 1946, she married Jacob B. "Jake" Sone.  He preceded her in death on April 26, 1997.

She is survived by  Daughter- Barbara J. wife of Lawson Duvall, Bedford; Granddaughters- Kristi & Whitney.  and five great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son, John Sone and a brother William Bridaham.

Jean was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Bedford where she served on the Ladies Aid.  She worked for 33 years as a supervisor and operator for United Telephone Company.  Jean was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, R.S.V.P, the Red Hat Society, DAR, Bedford Senior Citizens and the Bedford American Legion Auxiliary.  She was a loving mother, grandmother & friend.  She will be greatly missed.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 5th, 2016 with Pastor Jenny Barnes & Rev. Paul Claycomb officiating.

Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Bedford.
