Mr. Ned Berkheimer Wolfe, 90, of Mountain Road, Bedford, died at 9:00 AM, Monday, December 1st, 2014 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.
Mr. Wolfe was born in Fishertown on Saturday, March 1, 1924, the son of the late Stanley and Edna Pearl (Berkheimer) Wolfe.
On May 18, 1944, he married Doris P. (Hoagland) Wolfe.
In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Bonnie L. wife of Herman Clouse, New Enterprise; Son- Nathan N. "Sonny" Wolfe, Bedford; Cousin- Tom Berkheimer, Johnstown. He is also survived by four grandchildren, David Clouse, Amy Jo Davis, Ryan James Wolfe & Kelly Sue Eaton, and seven great grandchildren, Alexander, Valentina, Olivia, Paige, Makenzie, Brandon & Nathan. He was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Valonis.
Ned was a member of the Chestnut Ridge independent Fellowship Church. He was a lifelong dairy farmer and was the owner and operator of Breezy Acres Dairy. Ned was a member of the Pennsylvania Farmers Association, the National Tractor Pullers Association and the Southern Cove Power Union. Ned enjoyed hunting, fishing, tractor pulling, winters spent in Florida and he liked to water-skiing.
A funeral service will be held at Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church, Fishertown at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 4th, 2014 with Pastor Daniel Oldham officiating.
Interment will be held at Fishertown Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the church and again on Thursday from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at the church.
