Nancy J. (Hixon) Casteel

Mrs. Nancy J. Casteel, 69, of Bedford, went home to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, April 14th, 2014 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Casteel was born in Bedford County on Saturday, February 3, 1945,  the daughter of the late Joshua Roy and Helen V. (Wright) Hixon.

On March 18, 1964, she married David John Casteel.  In addition to her husband she is survived by Daughter- Donna J. wife of  Edwin Mowry, Mt. Holly Springs; Daughter- Karen J. Calhoun, Fishertown; Grandchildren- Rustyn Page, Tyler Mowry, Alexis Calhoun & Alexander Calhoun; Great Grandchildren- Jaxson Page & Jianna Page; Sister- Joan wife of  Kenneth Porter, Rainsburg; Brother- Kenneth Wright, Bedford; Brother- Melvin Wright, Bedford.  She was preceded in death by three sisters; Mary Hall, Evelene Calhoun & Ursa Sprigg.

Nancy was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking and doting on her family.  She attended the Time Ministries Church.

At Nancy's request, there will be no flowers nor public viewing.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
