M. Pauline (Egolf) Berkey

Mrs. M. Pauline  Berkey, 84, of Cortland Road, New Paris, died at 5:50 PM, Monday, April 16th, 2012 at Donahoe Manor.

Mrs. Berkey was born in Juniata Township on Thursday, April 28, 1927,  the daughter of the late J. Earl  and Florence M. (Hillegass) Egolf.

On June 8, 1952, she married Luther E. Berkey.  He preceded her in death on August 25, 2004.

She is survived by  Son- James E. husband of  Mitzi (Shaffer) Berkey, Bedford; Daughter- Pamela M. Berkey, Mechanicsburg; Grandson- Lukas J. husband of  Christal (Miller) Berkey, Buffalo Mills; Brother- Carl husband of  Geraldine (Taylor) Egolf, Schellsburg and by two great grandsons, Cory J. and Benjamin L.  Pauline is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by three sisters, Carol Way, Geraldine Barley and Janet Miller

Pauline was a charter member of the United Church of Schellsburg.  She was a home maker and held the position of auditor in Napier Township.  She also worked in the kitchens at Camp Living Waters.  Pauline was a quilter and a landscape painter.  She enjoyed puzzles and reading.

A Funeral Service will be held  at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 19th, 2012 with Rev. Paul Claycomb officating.

Interment will be held at  Schellsburg Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the United Church of Schellsburg.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
