Mildred L. (Baker) King

Mildred L. (Baker) King, age 97, of Donahoe Manor Road, Bedford passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019 at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home, Bedford.

Mrs. King was born in Snake Spring Valley on February 14, 1922, daughter of the late Virgil R. and Delilah (Ritchey) Baker.

On June 10, 1947 she married William E. King in Everett, PA. He preceded her in death on March 10, 1978.

She is survived by  Son- Steve W. husband of  Evelyn (Raich) King, Baltimore, MD; Son- Michael E. husband of  Vicky (Foster) King, Longs, SC; Daughter- Cheryl A. (King) wife of  Glenn Mowry, Schellsburg; Grandson- Jeffrey S. King, Baltimore, MD; Grandson- Kristofer M. King, Bartlesville, OK; Granddaughter- Messina (King) wife of  Brian Wingard, New Enterprise; Granddaughter- Heather King, Cumberland, MD; Step-grandson Andrew W. husband of  Angela (Hahn) Mowry, Schellsburg; Great-granchildren Sierra, Paige, Hunter, Payden and Alecsis.  Mildred was preceded in death by Sisters- Ruth Whetstone and Freda Hazelette and Brother- Ronald Baker.

Mrs. King retired from the Everett IGA in 1983 after 17 years of service. She also worked as a sales clerk at Maurices Store and G C Murphy of Bedford.

Mildred was a member of RSVP at the Bedford Senior Citizens Center.

She was a member of  Bedford Bible Church.

Friends will be received on Monday, December 2, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.

A funeral service will be held  at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 11:00AM on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 with Pastor Clifford Swankler officiating.

Interment at Everett Cemetery.
