Michael G. Rose

Michael G. Rose, 50, of  Point Road, Bedford,  passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at his home after a courageous battle of ALS.

Mr. Rose was born in Bedford on January 9, 1970,  son of the late Glenn Rose and Connie (Geller) Miller of Bedford.

On April 12, 2003 Mike married Becky (Shroyer) Rose.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his Mother- Connie Miller, Bedford; Daughter- Olivia N. wife of  Matthew Rohm, Breezewood; Son- Ethan M. Rose at home; Sister- Kathy wife of  Jeffery Oldham, Schellsburg; Father-in-law- Charles Shroyer, Bedford; Mother-in-law- Charolette Lankey, Bedford; Brother and sister-in-law- Brian and Mandy Shroyer, Schellsburg, Niece-Christina wife of Chris Rose, Schellsburg and Nephews- Dalton Oldham and Brennen Shroyer both of Schellsburg; many aunts, uncles and cousins and Special Nurse Kayla Keider from The Village in Place. Mike was preceded in death by Step-father Harry A. Miller, Paternal Grandparents- Daniel and Ruth Rose, Maternal Grandparents- John and Dorothy Geller and Step-grandparents- BJ and Almeda Miller.

Michael was a 1987 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School.

He was a Truck Driver at Advantage Tank Lines where he drove a fuel tanker.

Mike was a member of the Shawnee Valley Fire Company and past member of the Breezewood Fire Company. He enjoyed camping, NASCAR, deer hunting and spending time with his family and friends.

Friends will be received on Monday, January 11, 2021 from 2-4 and 7-9PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.

A funeral service will be held  at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00AM on Tuesday, January 12th,  with Pastor Linda Kibler officiating.

Interment at Schellsburg Cemetery.
