Michael R. Mickey

Michael R. Mickey, 71, of Bedford, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at UPMC Bedford, Everett.

Michael was born in Bedford on December 20, 1952.

On August 8, 1973, he married his wife Diana L. (Show), who preceded him in death on September 15, 2019.

He is survived by son- James A. Mickey, of Bedford; son- Michael R. Jr. husband of Aunyett (Bauer) Mickey, of Manns Choice; son- Samuel A. Mickey, of FL; granddaughter- Ambonette Mickey, of NC; granddaughter- Katie L. Mickey, of Bedford; sister- Darlene Mock, of Everett; brother- Robert Mock, of Everett; sister- Michele Fockler, of Everett; brother- Brian Fockler, of NJ; sister-in-law- Marty wife of Rami Shomali, of OH; sister-in-law- Terri Dewitt and Steve Melius, of Bedford; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and dog Phoebe. Michael is preceded in death by his mother- Catherine (Fockler), grandparents: George Mickey and wife Charlene (Tewell); brother- Daryl Fockler.

Michael was a Foreman at Hedstrom in the receiving department. He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers; along with hunting, fishing, being outdoors, gardening, playing darts at the Hitching Post, and his grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 10-11 AM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Bedford.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 11 AM at Geisel-Styer Funeral Homes, Bedford with Pastor John Bennett officiating.

Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Cumberland Valley Twp; PA.
