Mrs. Melby D. Veach, age 91, of Cincinnati, OH, formerly of Bedford County, died Friday, November 13th, 2015 at Meadow Brook Care Center in Cincinnati.
Mrs. Veach was born in Bedford Valley on Sunday, March 9, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Norman J. "Jack" and Fannie Mae (Hite) Rose.
She was first married to Daun Miller and then she married Harry Veach. Both of her husbands preceded her in death.
She is survived by Son- Ronald husband of Sandra (Edwards) Miller, Paducah, KY; Daughter- Saundra widow of Steve Sweeney, Cincinnati, OH; Step Son- Jerry Veach, Jacksonville, FL; Sister- Vera wife of Howard Nuzum, Lake St. Louis, MO. She is also survived by five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one step grandchild.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by brothers, Dempsey, Glenn & Perry Rose.
Melby was a member of the Manns Choice Church of God and previously worked as a presser at Lion's Manufacturing in Everett.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 17th, 2015 with Rev. Richard Whetstone officiating.
Interment will be held at Everett Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the funeral home in Schellsburg.
