Mary Lynne (Holmes) Hurley, 75 of Manns Choice went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 2, 2015.
She passed away peacefully at home after a lengthy illness with her family by her side. Mrs. Hurley was born in McKeesport, Allegheny County on January 22, 1940.
She was the daughter of the late William Chalmers Holmes and Leona Jane (Shaffer) Holmes. Two husbands preceded Mrs. Hurley in death. On November 7, 1958, she married the late Donald Murin and on December 30, 1972 she married the late Blaine Hurley. An infant daughter, Jodie Lynne Hurley and her brother, Terry Holmes, also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, son Michael and wife Susan (Robertson) Murin of Manns Choice and daughters Shay wife of Richard Horner of Belden and Raegan wife of Robert Wiley of Manns Choice. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Torie Rose, Zachary Horner, Kyle Horner, Shane Murin & Cory Murin and four great grand children, Tempra Claycomb, Jensun Claycomb, Theran Murin & Olivia Murin.
After completing her education, Mrs. Hurley worked at McKeesport Hospital and as a private duty nurse and managed a Senior Center while living in Naples, Florida. In 1991 she became a certified Methodist Lay Speaker. In 2006, she moved back to Pennsylvania to be closer to her family and spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lynne loved her dogs and was also very active with everyday life, willing to help anyone in need with anything. Lynne was a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church, serving as a Sunday School Teacher and was very active in her church and with her church family.
She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her for her love of life and for the Lord. A Celebration of Life for Mary Lynne Hurley and Blaine William Hurley will be held Colonial Hills Baptist Church, Friday April 10, 2015 from 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM.
Please join the family in their celebration of these loved ones lives, not in the sorrow of losing them but rejoicing in the Love of the Lord and that they are going home to be with their Lord and Savior.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Colonial Hills Baptist Church or the Bedford County Humane Society.
