Mary Ann (Merkle) Sullivan

Mrs. Mary Ann Sullivan, 88, of Hammond Hill Road, Fishertown, died Tuesday, September 12th, 2017 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.
Mrs. Sullivan was born in Buffalo, NY on October 2, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Thelma (LaFevre) Merkle.
On August 8, 1953, she married Daniel T. Sullivan. In addition to her husband, she is survived by Son- Mark A. Sullivan, Johnstown; Daughter- Kathleen S. wife of Todd Walker, Granite Falls, NC and Grandchildren- Eric, Lindsey & Kelsey.
Mary Ann was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Bedford, where she was a served in the Ladies Guild. Mary Ann was a Girl Scout Leader in Osterburg. She was a lovely woman and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Bedford at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 14th, 2017 with Father Richard Tomkosky celebrant.
Interment will be held at St. Thomas Cemetery, Bedford.
