Mary Margaret (Feather) Wilson

Mary Margaret (Feather) Wilson, 95 of Main Road, Bedford departed this life on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Bedford Colonial Courtyard.

Mrs. Wilson was born on September 12, 1923 in Friends Cove, daughter of the late Charles R. Feather and Carrie L. (Griffith) Feather.

Mary married Francis H. Wilson on April 12, 1942 in the Trinity Lutheran Church of Bedford they were united in marriage by Rev. George I. Melhorn. Francis preceded her in death on September 26, 2014.

She is survived by the following children; Son- Michael H. husband of Christina E. (Braman) Wilson, Bedford; Son- Danny L. husband of Vicki K. (Fredrickson) Wilson, Delta, CO; Son-Gerry Wilson, Everett; Son- Andrew P. husband of Sharon (Weicht) Wilson, Everett; Daughter-Lynn Rae (Wilson) wife of Larry Robeson, Bedford. Sister- Dorothy M. (Feather) Gohn, Hollidaysburg as well as 11 Grandchildren, 18 Great-grandchildren, and 12 Great-great grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, parents and six Brothers- Harry A., Robert E., Charles R., James R., John E. and Jack G. Feather, and a Great-granddaughter.

Mary enjoyed working with the 4-H organization teaching square dancing with her husband for 40 years and working at the Bedford County Historical Society helping others with family genealogy. She belonged to the Daughters of American Revolution, Colonial Dames of the Seventeen Century, Somerset County Historical Society, and the Berlin Historical Society. She was always very interested in the history of Bedford County. Mary liked flowers and music, especially the old tunes and religious songs. Mary had many friends and will be missed greatly by so many.

Friends will be received on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford.

A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jenny Barnes and Rev. Paul Claycomb officiating.

Interment at Bedford County Memorial Park.
