Mary Grace Stiffler, age 89, of New Baltimore, PA died on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at her home.
She was born on September 7, 1930 in New Baltimore, the daughter of the late D.A.(Nash) and Grace Hankinson.
She was married on New Year’s Eve, 1949, to H. Thomas Stiffler who preceded her in death on November 5, 2011. They took joy in being married for 62 years.
She is the beloved mother of daughter Mary Ann, wife of Angelo DiCamillo, of Voorhees, NJ and son Thomas A., husband of Linda (Maddy) Stiffler of New Baltimore.
Her daughter Barbara Jean Kudasik of Chambersburg sadly preceded her in death on June 4, 2017.
She is survived by her brother Richard J. Hankinson (Patsy) of Vienna, VA, sister Margaret “Peg” Diehl (Leonard) of Manns Choice, PA and brother-in-law Robert Alianiello of Lutherville, MD.
She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Rose Marie and Stan Hillegas ; brother and sister-in-law D.V. “Buddy” and Betty Hankinson; sister Judy Alianiello and brother and sister-in-law Bernie and Shirl Hankinson.
She was a very loving Mimi to her five grandchildren: Jill Kudasik, Amy Turley wife of Kyle, Ryan Kudasik and his wife Joy, Craig Stiffler and his wife Amanda and Marc DiCamillo and his wife Claudia.
She was blessed with five great-grandchildren, Sophie and Simon DiCamillo, Knox and Tatum Stiffler and Benjamin Kudasik - all of whom delighted her in every way.
She enjoyed a very close relationship with many of her nieces and nephews and will be dearly missed by them, as well as by her countless faithful friends.
She was a devoted member of St. John’s Catholic Church in New Baltimore. She lived her faith every day in the way that she lived her life. She enjoyed doing her civic duty and worked the polls on each election day. She was the ultimate “people person” and was always willing to lend an ear.
Friends are invited to call on Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 4 to 7p.m. at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Baltimore at
2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2019, with Father Mark Pattock officiating.
Committal will be held at St. John’s Cemetery, New Baltimore.
