Mary D. (Diehl) Peck

Mrs. Mary D. Peck, 97, of Roaring Spring, passed from this life to her eternal home at 7:30 PM, Wednesday, November 6th, 2013 at The Village at Morrison's Cove, Martinsburg.
Mrs. Peck was born in Fulton County, on Sunday, October 29, 1916, the daughter of the late Ira "Pop" and Goldie Mae (Richards) Diehl.
On June 19, 1936, she married Roy F. Peck. He preceded her in death on August 25, 1986.
She is survived by Daughter- Yvonne "Bonnie" widow of Rev. Franklin Linton, Roaring Spring; Grandson- Jeffrey Linton, Baltimore, MD; Grandson- Joseph Linton, Keller, TX; Grandson- Jerrold Linton, Osterburg; Granddaughter- Jennifer Sciranko, Osterburg and 8 great grandchildren, Megan, Nathan, Brianna, Kiley, Sarah, Derik, Dillon & Morgan. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ross Diehl and a sister, Helen Diehl
Mary was a member of the Hancock Assembly of God Church. She retired after 40 years as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service, carrying the mail from Hancock, MD to Big Cove Tannery to Needmore, PA and then back to Hancock.
A funeral service will be held at Hancock Assembly of God Church, 431 N Pennsylvania Ave, Hancock, MD. at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 12th, 2013 with Rev. Donald Preston & Rev. Robert Smith officiating.
Interment will be held at Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg.
Friends are invited to call on Monday from 6:00 - 9:00 PM and Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the church in Hancock.
