Mary C. (Felix) Mowry
November 14, 1922 — December 27, 2017
Mrs. Mary C. Mowry, 95, of Ellis Road, Schellsburg, died Wednesday, December 27th, 2017 at Pennknoll Village.
Mrs. Mowry was born in Napier Township on November 14, 1922, the daughter of the late Dewey and Cora (Rouser) Felix.
In December of 1941, she married Sherwood G. Mowry. He preceded her in death on May 4, 1992.
She is survived by Son- Donald W. Mowry, Schellsburg; Son- S. Glenn husband of Cheryl (King) Mowry, Schellsburg; Sister- Ruth Fetter, New Paris. She is also survived by four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a number of great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Edward Mowry, five brothers, Harry Felix, John Felix, Dean Felix, Clair Felix, and Homer Felix and by a sister, Betty Messersmith.
Mary was a homemaker and a farmer. She previously worked in the maintenance department at the Bedford Springs Resort. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend and she will be missed.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 30th, 2017 with Pastor Linda Kibler officiating.
Interment will be held at Schellsburg Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Schellsburg.
