Mary Elizabeth (Hillegass) Allison
January 4, 1925 — October 17, 2011
Mary Elizabeth was born on Sunday, January 4, 1925 in Kegg, the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Marie (Boylan) Hillegass.
She is survived by two children, a daughter, Diane, wife of Thomas Bingham, Bedford with who she resided with for the past eight years, and a son, David Allison, Pleasantville.
She has three grandchildren of that were very special to her, Michelle, wife of Travis Fleegle, New Paris; Melanie, wife of Chad Loop, Bedford; and Matthew Bingham, husband of Danielle, Bedford; three great grandchildren, Jordan and Madison Fleegle and Hunter Bingham.
She is also survived by two brothers, Robert Hillegass, Apollo and William Hillegass, Pittsburgh. She was preceded in death by a brother, Sheldon Hillegass and three sisters, Nora Mae Hillegass, Melvie Layton and Ilene Ross.
Mary was a homemaker and later in life worked for Green thumb. She enjoyed square dancing and spending time with her family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 with Rev. Paul Claycomb officiating.
Interment will be held at Schellsburg Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call two hours prior to the service on Wednesday.
