Mrs. Martha B. King, 79, of Black Valley Road, Everett, passed away Tuesday, August 28th, 2012 after a short but courageous battle with cancer at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. King was born in Hewitt,  on Tuesday, November 1, 1932,  the daughter of the late Regia and Gladys Bennett Imes.

On August 12, 1950, she married Earl L. King and they had been married for over 62 years.

In addition to her husband she is survived by Daughter- Beverly wife of  Eric Easton, Everett; Son- Steven King, Everett; Daughter- Beth wife of  Frank Patt, Wellsboro; Daughter- Becky wife of  Larry Phillip,Garrett; Daughter- Billie Jo wife of  Ray Dunkle, Middletown; Brother- Floyd husband of  Pat Imes, Manheim; Sister- Betty Robinson, Everett; Brother- Earl husband of  Hilda Imes, Hermitage, TN; Brother- Upton husband of  Shirley Imes, Everett; Sister- Mildred wife of  Jack Howser, Pocomoke, MD; Sister- Carol Imes, Fayetteville, NC. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister Maxine, a brother Victor and a daughter-in-law, Sharon King

Martha was a member of the First Christian Church, where she taught Sunday School.  She was employed at the Lion Manufacturing for 20 years.  Martha enjoyed taking care of her home, gardening and picking raspberries.  She especially enjoyed being a parent, grandmother and friend.  Because of her generosity of spirit, she never met a stranger and therefore found joy in meeting all the people who came into her life.  Martha was a very caring and giving person and will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Raystown Road, Everett at Noon on Friday, August 31st, 2012 with Rev. Robert Robinson officiating.

Interment will be held at Bennett Cemetery, Chaneysville.

Friends are invited to call on Friday from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
