Mr. Mark H. Kennedy, 42, of Point Road, Bedford died Monday, November 5th, 2012 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, as the result of injuries he sustained as a pedestrian in an automobile accident.
Mr. Kennedy was born in Gary, Indiana on Saturday, October 24, 1970, he son of Edna (Smith) Kennedy of Bedford and the late Kenneth H. Kennedy.
On June 9, 1990, he married Lesley A. (Nicodemus) Kennedy. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by Daughter- Kristen A. Kennedy, at home; Son- Austin M. Kennedy, at home; Brother- Kenneth husband of Lisa (Selle) Kennedy, South Riding, VA; Sister- Cheryl wife of Bobby Quinoes, Stephens City, VA; Brother- Greg Kennedy, New Paris; Sister- Heather wife of Ronnie Walter, East Freedom; Brother- Eddie husband of Dana (Clendennen) Kennedy, Fairfax, VA; Brother- Sean husband of Nicole (Pittinger) Kennedy, Harrisburg. in addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Katrina Miller Kennedy
Mark was a 1988 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School. He was first employed in the chrome room at Creative Pultrusions and was currently working at Bedford Reinforced Plastics as an engineer technician.
Mark enjoyed sports, especially watching his children in all of their sporting events. He was also an outstanding and admired coach, coaching the teen girls Almacs Softball Team for many years, helping with the Little Lions Football Team and helping coach Little League Baseball.
Mark was a fun-loving person, always joking around and making everyone smile. He loved spending time with his family, hunting, 4-wheeling, finding enjoyment in doing anything as long as they were together.
He was a loving and considerate son and husband, an attentive and caring father and an extraordinary brother and friend. Mark will be greatly missed and remembered kindly for his generosity of spirit and for the love he showed every day to those who were blessed to have had Mark in their lives.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 9th, 2012 with Rev. J. R. Virgin officiating.
Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 3:00 - 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
