Marie C. (Wambaugh) Lohr

Mrs. Marie C. Lohr, 92, of The Village at Morrisons Cove, formerly of New Buena Vista and Friendship Village, Bedford,  died Thursday, October 8th, 2015 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

Mrs. Lohr was born in Kegg on Wednesday, April 4, 1923,  the daughter of the late John and Mary (Imgrund) Wambaugh.

On April 14, 1945, she married Fred G. Lohr.  He preceded her in death on January 3, 1978.

She is survived by  Daughter- Ruth Miller, Great Cacapon, WV; Son- John F. husband of  Mary Jane  (Pensyl) Lohr, Bedford; Son- James W. Lohr, Martinsburg; Son- David E. husband of  Vickie (Spade) Lohr, Everett; Son- Donald P. husband of  Brenda (Fluke) Lohr, East Freedom. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Lohr and the following siblings, Alice Brinegar, Kathleen Hill, Florence Hankinson, Fred Wambaugh, Lucy Myers & George Wambaugh.

Marie was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church in New Baltimore.  She was homemaker and caretaker.  Marie was a loving and kind mother, grandmother, aunt and friend and she will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Baltimore at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 12th, 2015 with Father Richard Tomkosky celebrant.

Committal services will be held at St. Johns Cemetery, New Baltimore.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, where a vigil for the deceased will be held.
