Mrs. Margueritta Perrin, 77, of Clear Ridge Road, Clearville, died at 5:17 PM, Tuesday, October 2nd, 2012 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.
Mrs. Perrin was born in Everett on Tuesday, July 9, 1935, the daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Seiber) Nearhood.
On September 14, 1954, she married Earl I. Perrin. He preceded her in death on September 7, 1996.
She is survived by Daughter- Judy Ann wife of David Songstad, Max, ND; Daughter- Sylvia Jean wife of Richard Kabanuck, Max, ND; Son- David Wayne Perrin, CA; Son- Dennis Wade husband of Paula (Rhodes) Perrin, Clearville. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Christie Songstad, Natalie Hauf, Brittany Songstad, 1st Lt. Chas Kabanuck, 1st Lt. Rylan Kabanuck, Relane Kabanuck, Amber Perrin, Alison Perrin and Madison Perrin, and six great grandchildren, Austin, Andrew, Haley, Derry, Gracie and Wesley and Lifelong Friend and surrogate Brother- Sheldon Deshong, Bowie, MD.
She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Harry Albert Nearhood, nine sisters, Dorothy Rebecca Smyers, Ida Elizabeth Acres, Minnie Kathryn, Betty Jane McElroy, Mary Martha Singer, Alberta, Ruth Irene Knapp, Loretta Larena Schultz and Mildred Darlene Bowen, and three brothers, Edward Franklin Nearhood, Warren David Nearhood and Warren's twin, John William Nearhood, who is listed as missing in action from his service during the Korean War.
Margueritta was a homemaker, she was employed at the Lions Manufacturing Company in Everett and then at Dalco Cleaning. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the American Legion in Everett and was a social member of the Everett VFW and the Everett Redman. Margueritta enjoyed knitting, word searches, flowers and traveling with her husband.
A funeral service will be held at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Raystown Road, Everett at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 9th, 2012 with Rev. Curtis Bryant officiating.
Interment will be held at Frame Church Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call on Monday from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home and on Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
