Margaret "Peg" Lashley

Margaret "Peg" Lashley, 86, of Bedford "Sweet Root Road," peacefully departed this life at her home on January 27th, 2024. Born on November 9th, 1937, she was the beloved wife of the late Richard T. Lashley and the late James Robert Huber.

Left to cherish her memory are her four children: Michael Lashley and Karen Bischoff of Bedford, Wendy and her husband Leo Imes of Everett, Jamey and Randy Shirley of Bedford, Troy Huber and Missy Owens of Bedford. Margaret leaves behind a legacy of love through her seven grandchildren: James Douglas "JD" and his wife Lisa Lashley of Bedford, Mindy and Jordan Glass of Bedford, Adrienne Dragoo of Breezewood, Rebecca and Travis Weaver of North Carolina, Derek and his husband Joshua Detrich of Duncansville, Devon and his wife Amber Shirley of Bedford, Danielle and husband Dustin Yost, of Everett, and Aubrie Huber. Additionally, she is survived by ten great-grandchildren: Michael, Zahli, and Alexander Lashley, Kali and Evan Glass, Alexandriah and Preston Tenley, Azrael and Aaliyah Detrich, Elena Shirley and Kendyl Yost. Margaret also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George "Pop" and Erdie Seifert, as well as by her nine siblings: Edna Seifert, Catherine Carney, Leroy Seifert, Donald Seifert, Mable Milam, Lillian Lashley, Ann Mitchell, Thomas Seifert, and Norma Jean Edwards.

Peg found joy in the company of her family and could often be found tending to her garden, nurturing her beloved flowers.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 2-4 PM at the Geisel-Styer Funeral Home, Bedford.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 4 PM at the Geisel-Styer Funeral Home, Bedford with The Rev. Jean Caudill officiating.
