Mrs. Margaret M. Berkheimer, 85, of Bedford went home to be with the Lord, Monday, February 15th, 2016 at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home.

Mrs. Berkheimer was born in Blue Knob on Thursday, July 10, 1930,  the daughter of the late Elmer and Emma (Seymour) Feathers.

On March 10, 1956, she married Harry Leroy Berkheimer.  He preceded her in death on January 26, 1964.

She is survived by  Daughter- Shelby J. wife of Dale Miller, Schellsburg; Grandson- Brock husband of Stacy (Winter) Miller, Orbisonia; Granddaughter- Jasmine wife of Jonathan Dicken, Osterburg; Great Granddaughter- Elaina wife of Justin Hall, Three Springs; Great Grandson- Mason Miller, Orbisonia; Great Granddaughter- Hailey Dicken, Osterburg; Great Grandson-  J.T. Dicken, Osterburg; Step Daughter- Sonia wife of Jim Dezelon, Euclid, OH; Step Son- Philip husband of Jackie Berkheimer, Parma, OH; Step Daughter- Karen wife of Larry Mytnick, North Ridgeville, OH; Step Daughter-in-law- Lois Berkheimer, Elton; Step Son-in-law- Rodney Sanders, Suitland, MD; Sister- Sarah Corle, Pavia; Brother- Frank Feathers, Delaware; Brother- John Feathers, Portage; Sister- Ruby Feathers, Osterburg; Brother- Sam Feathers, Alum Bank.  She is also survived by numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by step son- Ronald Berkheimer, step son- Lee Berkheimer and his wife Karen, step daughter- Thelma Ann Sanders and by a brother- Elmer Feathers.

Margaret was employed at both the Five Gables Restaurant and the Country Way in New Paris as a cook.  She was affiliated with the Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church. Margaret loved to sew and was an amazing cook.  She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend and she will be missed.

The family would like to thank the staff of Donahoe Manor for the kind and compassion care they gave to Margaret throughout the years.

A funeral service will be held at Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church, Fishertown at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 19th, 2016 with Pastor Dan Oldham officiating.

Interment will be held at Clayburg Union Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 3:00 - 8:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church.

Arrangements entrusted to Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.
