Mae B. Emerick Will, 97, of Victoria Avenue, Everett, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on December 23, 2024.
Born October 29, 1927 in Napier Township, Bedford County, daughter of John D. and Viola (Mickel) Bence.
Preceded in death by parents, first husband Harry J. Emerick on November 11, 1997, and second husband William R. Will on November 16, 2012, and grandson Kevin. She is survived by her son- Richard J. Emerick married to the former Barbara K. Miller, of Schellsburg; daughter- Cinda A. wife of Jerry D. Anderson, of Middletown; four grandchildren: Richard J. Emerick II and wife Paula; Ryan M. Emerick and wife Elisabeth both of Schellsburg; Nicole E. wife of Mark Henderson, of Middletown; and Justin D. Anderson and wife Emilee, of Hummelstown; two step-grandsons: John D. Brenner and wife Tara, of Carlisle, and William R. Brenner and wife Colleen, of Bedford. Ten great-grandchildren: Jenna, Jamie, Jeb, Ellie, Abigail, Cade Emerick; Davis and Jude Henderson; and Reagan and Marlowe Anderson; three step-grandchildren: Caitlyn, Nicolas, and Jacob Brenner. Sister of Jane Faulkner, of Bedford; J. Roy Bence, of Bedford; Ada Brough, of Everett; Doris Imgrund, of Schellsburg; W. Dale Bence, of Schellsburg.
She was a 1945 graduate of Schellsburg Napier High School. Retired as School Food Service Director of the Berlin Brothersvalley School District after 30 years. She was a member of the Bedford Alliance Church where she served as a deaconess, the Berlin Historical Society, The Exxon Annuitant Club and the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees. She loved cooking and baking and was especially known for her elegant dinners and her pies. She enjoyed needlework of all kinds and made numerous quilts and quillows for family and friends. She loved to travel having visited all of the states especially enjoying Hawaii and Alaska. She also traveled to Jamaica and the Holy Lands as well as spending numerous winters in Florida. But above all she loved spending time with her "precious family". She lived a wonderful life and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to thank Homewood at Spring House Estates Staff and Gentiva Hospice Care Team of Michelle, Denise, Stacy, and Tim for their loving and compassionate care.
