Mrs. Mabel R. Hockenberry, 88, of E. Pitt St., Bedford, formerly of S. Breezewood Road, Breezewood, died at 10:49 PM, Monday, August 20th, 2012 at her home.

Mrs. Hockenberry was born in Bedford Township on Sunday, May 11, 1924,  the daughter of the late John A. and Grace E. (Weicht) Dively.

She was married to Harry F. "Bud" Hockenberry.  He preceded her in death.

She is survived by  Brother- Donald husband of  Phylis Dively, Bedford Township:  Sister- Paulena Seigel, Bedford Township; She is also survived by three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Gerald, II, and Rebecca, three great grandchildren, Ashley, Juan and Gerald, III,  one great great granddaughter, Grace Elizabeth. Mabel is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews, including Brenda Popelish and Barb Haigh and Charles and Leslie Dively, whom were her caregivers.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ann Dively, a sister, Jean Dively and two brothers, John Dively and Charles Dively

Mabel was a former member of the St. James Lutheran Church.  She was employed as a bookkeeper for various garages in the Bedford and York areas.  Mabel enjoyed crossword puzzles and eating out with her family and friends.  She was very loving and caring will be truly missed.

A funeral service will be held  at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Raystown Road, Everett at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 24th, 2012 with Rev. Daniel Diehl officiating.

Interment will be held at  Mt. Union Christian Church Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Friday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the funeral home in Everett.
