Lynn A. Ickes, Sr.

Mr. Lynn A. Ickes, Sr., 57, of Dunnings Creek Road, New Paris, died at 4:33 PM, Friday, November 1st, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Ickes was born in Snake Spring Township on Wednesday, February 22, 1956, the son of Betty (Hemminger) Ickes of New Paris and the late Anson Ickes.
On August 9, 1975, he married Diana J. (Hepner) Ickes.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by Son- Lynn A. Ickes, Jr. husband of Rachel (Phillips) Ickes, New Paris; Daughter- Joni K. wife of Chad Mowery, Orwigsburg; Daughter- Nicole D. wife of Darren Williams, Statesville, NC; Son- Bradley A. husband of Valerie (Gerula) Ickes, Osterburg; Son- Corey S. husband of Lindsey (Winegardner) Ickes, Schellsburg; Sister- Linda Dull, Alum Bank; Sister- Patty Wissinger, Osterburg; Brother- Larry Ickes, Imler; Brother- Perry Ickes, New Paris; Sister- Pam Burkett, New Paris. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Ickes.
Lynn was a 1974 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator for PennDOT in Bedford. Lynn enjoyed being with his family, he especially enjoyed his role as a grandfather and the time he got to spend with his grandchildren.
Services will be held at the convenience of family with Pastor Rebecca Clark officiating.
Interment will be held at Fishertown Cemetery.
