Mrs. Loretta J. Nunamaker, 84, of William Penn Road, Imler, died at 6:40 PM, Wednesday, March 12th, 2014 at Hollidaysburg Lutheran Home.
Mrs. Nunamaker was born in W. St. Clair Township on Thursday, November 21, 1929, the daughter of the late Charles F. and Rosie (Felix) Custer.
On January 18, 1958, she married Lester R. Nunamaker. He preceded her in death on November 30, 1979.
She is survived by Son- Robert C. husband of Laurie (Kniseley) Nunamaker, Roaring Spring; Son- Bruce E. husband of Kelly (Showalter) Nunamaker, Imler; Daughter- Deborah J. Hood and companion Harry Spade, Irvona; Sister- Grace Callihan, Martinsburg; Brother- Ralph Custer, Kittanning; Brother- Douglas Custer, Schellsburg. She is also survived by four grandsons, Jason, Josh, Ben & Lucas, and three great grandchildren, Katie Ann, Sawyer and Ryder & one on the way and by her close friend, Betty Perry of Hollidaysburg. She was preceded in death by her grandson Dale and by her brother Ronald Custer and her sister Shelva Cessna.
Loretta was affiliated with the Claysburg Church of God and the Trinity Reformed Church in Osterburg. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, flowers, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. While she was at the Lutheran Home, she was an avid Bingo player.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 16th, 2014 with Pastor Charles Miller officiating.
Interment will be held at Fishertown Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call on Saturday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM and on before the services on Sunday at the funeral home in Schellsburg.
