Lois Kathleen (Gillin) Rowzer age 96, died Saturday, February 22, 2020. Born September 11, 1923 in Park Hill, PA, daughter of Elmer and Gladys (Leamer) Gillin. Preceded in death by parents, husband of 59 years, Frank, sister Margaret Louise and husband Carl Cooper, brother Kenneth Gillin and wife Dorothy Riley, sisters-in-law Ruth (Rowzer) Kos and her husband, Frank, and Mayetta Hornick.
Survived by daughter Diane Balog, New York, and son, David, married to Juanita (Wilson), Indiana, former son-in-law Victor Balog, also many nieces and nephews, 9 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Graduate of former Franklin High School, class of 1941. Volunteered for candy stripers, Red Cross, and Grey Ladies at Lee Hospital. Worked at Goldstein & Levin and Cay Artley Apparel in Johnstown for several years before graduating in the 8th class of Johnstown Tech School of Practical Nursing in 1957. Retired from Church of the Brethren Home after 36 years of service at the age of 74.
Attended Peoples Bible Holiness Church at Alum Bank.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 5-8PM at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Pleasantville.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at 11:00AM at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Pleasantville with Pastor Daniel Dicken officiating.
Interment at Mock Cemetery, Alum Bank, Pa.
Any memorial may be sent to missions of choice.
