Linda M. Shaffer

Mrs. Linda M. Shaffer, 70, of Pitt St., Schellsburg, died at 4:06 AM, Thursday, August 15th, 2013 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.
Mrs. Shaffer was born in Ebensburg on Thursday, June 17, 1943, and was reared in multiple foster homes.
On November 4, 1995, she married Wayne R. Shaffer.
Linda attended the Faith Brethren Bible Church. She was employed for 30 years as a printer for the Altoona Mirror and worked as a secretary at Tri-County Milk Haulers and as well as a waitress at Ed's Steakhouse and Clara's Place, both in Bedford.
In addition to her husband she is survived by Step Son- Rodney Shaffer, Jacksonville, FL; Step Daughter- Roxanne wife of Jonathan Purdy, Ivanhoe, NC. She was preceded in death by a step-son, Randall Shaffer.
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 19th, 2013 with Pastor Jim Espenshade officiating.
Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Schellsburg.
