Linda A. Rodgers

Linda A.  Rodgers, age 69, of Mc Creary Lane, New Paris died at 12:17 PM, Tuesday, August 7th, 2018 peacefully  at Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown.
Born in Scottdale on August 18, 1948, the daughter of the late George E. and Betty Jane (Browning) Ruth.
She worked as a special education teacher for IU8 before retiring after 25 years.
Linda was active in the Alum Bank Fire Company's Ladies Auxillary and a member of Crossroads Bible Church in Bedford.
She was the wife of Robert W. Rodgers whom she married on June 17,1972.
In addition to her husband she is survived by Daughter- Julie A., wife of  James Whisker II, New Paris; Daughter- Michelle L. wife of  Lawrence Bortner , Magnolia, DE; Daughter- Kathleen S.  Rodgers, New Paris; Brother- William Ruth, Connellsville; Sister- Carolyn Tempest, Mt. Pleasant; Sister- Barbara Jacobs, Mt. Pleasant and Brother- David  Ruth, Dunbar. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren-Caleb Whisker, Lawrence Bortner Jr., Logan Bortner, Ben Whisker, Jacob Lindsay, Anna Lindsay and William Bortner.
A Funeral Service will be held  at Crossroads Bible Church, Bedford, Pa. at 11:00AM on Saturday, August 11th,  with Pastor Mark Dillow officiating.   Friends will be received Friday 2-4PM and from 6-8PM at the church.
Interment at Fishertown Cemetery.  Arrangements by the Geisel Funeral Home  of Schellsburg.
