Linda L. (Hammer) Custer

Mrs. Linda L. Custer, 68, of Lemic Drive, New Paris, died at 4:31 PM, Tuesday, September 22nd, 2015 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Mrs. Custer was born in Johnstown on Sunday, April 20, 1947,  the daughter of the late Warren R. and Louise (Croyle) Hammer.

She was married to Robert B. Custer.  In addition to her husband she is survived by Daughter- Pamela G. (Geisel) wife of  Russell W. Styer, Bedford; Step Son- Rick husband of  Elaine (Granados) Stewart, Schellsburg. She is also survived by three grandsons, Justin, Jarrod & Jacob, and three step grandchildren, Ricky, Merry & Jacob.

Linda was a member of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Osterburg.  She was a graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School Class of 1965 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and History from the University of Pittsburgh.  Linda was a homemaker  and volunteered at Old Bedford Village.  She enjoyed flowers, gardening, taking walks with her dog Skipper and spending time with her grandchildren.  Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and she will be greatly missed. .

A funeral service will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Osterburg on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Rev Donna Wolfinger officiating.

Interment will be held at Osterburg Community Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 12:00 -2:00 PM at the church.
