Mr. Leroy K. "Kim"  Jackson, 83, of Pitt Street, Schellsburg, died at 6:20 PM, Saturday, July 23rd, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.

Mr. Jackson was born in Sacramento, CA on Saturday, August 13, 1927,  the son of the late Carlos Hanks and Annie L. (Manning) Jackson.

On December 31, 2011, he married Jane (Howlett) Jackson.  She preceded him in death on May 13, 1994.  He then married Rosemary E. (Hughes) Witpractiger-Jackson on September 26, 1996.  She preceded him in death on February 8, 2006.

He is survived by  Son- Patrick Jackson, Erwin, TN; Daughter- Vicki Jackson, Shaker Heights, OH; Daughter- Julie wife of  Lawrence Ray, Rochester, NY; Step Son- David Witpractiger, San Jose, CA; Step Son- Daniel Witpractiger, San Jose, CA; Step Daughter- Susan Harr wife of Matt, Schellsburg; Step Daughter- Heidi Dishong wife of David, Schellsburg.  He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and five step grandchildren.  In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Ann Lafitte.

Kim was a 1950 graduate of Georgia Tech.  He served in the US Navy during W.W.II and then in the US Army during the Korean War.  He was a retired civil engineer for Dravo Corporation in Pittsburgh.  Kim was affiliated with the United Church of Schellsburg and was a member of the Schellsburg Lions Club.  .

A graveside service will be held at Schellsburg Cemetery on Friday, July 29, 2011 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Dr. Merle Correll officiating.

Graveside Military Rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Kim to the Schellsburg Lions Club
