Larry R. Schrock

Mr. Larry R. Schrock, 71, of Brenda Sue Road, Manns Choice, died at 6:19 PM , Saturday, May 9th, 2015 at his home.

Mr. Schrock was born in Rockwood, Somerset County on Saturday, April 22, 1944, the son of the late Opal (Schrock) Phillippi and stepson of the late Ralph Phillippi.

On July 17, 1980, he married Beverly J. (Buzzard) Schrock.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Step Daughter- Beverly L. "Dolly" wife of  Richard Peterson, Schellsburg; Step Daughter- Effie J. wife of  William Buckholz, Rillton; Brother- John Phillippi, Rockwood. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Amber, Richard, Justin, Carley, Ashley, Zach & Ali, and two great grandchildren, Caden & Lilly,  a nephew, Chad Phillippi of Rockwood and two cousins, Jimmie Marker of Harrisburg & Scott Marker of Somerset.

Larry was employed as an equipment operator at Atlantic Hardwood Company in Crystal Spring.  He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman.  Larry was a loving husband, stepfather, grandfather, brother & uncle and he will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, May 13th, 2015 with Pastor Daniel Oldham officiating.

Interment will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Manns Choice.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home in Schellsburg.
