Mr. Kermit C. Frazier, 80, of Belden Road, Bedford, took Our Father's hand and went home at 9:30 PM, Monday, March 10th, 2014 at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home.
Mr. Frazier was born in Napier Township on Wednesday, July 5, 1933, he was the son of the late Milford and Mary (Otto) Frazier.
On June 29, 1955, he married Esther Arlene (Hengst) Frazier.
In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Anna P. Johnson and friend Robert Boltich, Everett; Son- David E. husband of Tammy (Wyles) Frazier, Bedford; Daughter- Christine A. Frazier, Bedford; Brother- Curtis husband of Hazel Frazier, St. Thomas; Sister- Mary wife of Ken Harbaugh, Ohio; Brother- Virgil husband of Judy Frazier, Bedford; Sister- Martha Clark, Pennsylvania; Sister-in-Law- Virginia widow of Dale Frazier, Edenville. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Andrew (AJ), Ashley and Friend Bob Kabler, Joshua, Jennifer and fiancé, Kevin Diehl, Kassi and fiancé Mike Leed, Heather and Hannah, and one great granddaughter, Hayden and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Rita & Donna and his brother Dale.
Kermit was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church. He first worked at Brown's Motors, then Thomas's and then Eastern Motors. Kermit was then employed as the Bedford Township Supervisor for 18 years and as the Superintendent of the Swine Bar at the Bedford County Fairgrounds for 32 years. He was also a school bus driver for Chestnut Ridge School District and Bedford School District and was a plumber and farmer.
Kermit was a member of the Bedford County Home Builder's Association, the Bedford Grange #619 and the Woodman of the World chapter 688. He was also a member of the County and State Township Associations.
Kermit was a loving husband, wonderful father and grandfather, a caring brother, a loyal friend and an asset to the community. He will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, Bedford at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 14th, 2014 with Pastor Donna Wolfinger & Rev. Virgil Frazier officiating.
Interment will be held at Messiah Church Cemetery at a later date.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford and Friday 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the Messiah Lutheran Church.
