Kenneth C. Hess

Mr. Kenneth C. Hess, 75, of Buena Road, Manns Choice (New Buena Vista), died at 12:45 AM, Wednesday, February 20th, 2013 at his home.

Mr. Hess was born in Dudley, Huntingdon County, on Saturday, July 24, 1937,  the son of the late Merle and Ada (Dick) Hess.

On October 10, 1959, he married Mary Ann (Beltz) Hess.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Sherry Malia, Fishertown; Son- Craig husband of  Tammie (Corle) Hess, Schellsburg; Son- Michael Hess, Indian Lake; Sister- Ruth Higgs, Cocoa Beach, FL; Sister- Betty McGhee, Bedford. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Brent Ross Hess, Brooke Malia, Ryan Hess, married to Rachel (Morningstar) and Kyle Hess, married to Jessie (Rowzer) and several special nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in by three brothers, Paul, Bill and Ron and two sisters, Theda Reed & Ethel Reidle

Ken was a member of the Christ Victory Church in New Buena Vista.  He was employed as a tunnel guard for the PA Turnpike Commission for 27 years.   Ken was a Republican Committeeman for Juniata Township and a member of the Spicer Creek Hunting Club.  He was a fan of both the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, especially attending their sporting and school events. .

A Funeral Service will be held  at Christ Victory Church, 470 Buena Road, Manns Choice, PA  15550 at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 23rd, 2013 with Pastor Pat Murphy, Rev. Timothy Helms & Pastor Jeff Ling officiating.

Interment will be held at  Schellsburg Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Christ Victory Church.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Ave., Windber, PA 15963.
