Mr. Kenneth D. Hagerich, 86, of Donahoe Manor Road, Bedford, died Wednesday, October 23rd, 2013 at Colonial Courtyard.
Mr. Hagerich was born in Mineral Point on Saturday, February 5, 1927, the son of the late Benjamin and Irene (Vorhauer) Hagerich.
On October 16, 1948, he married Betty A. (Pekera) Hagerich.
In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Barbara L. wife of Ronald Bluffin, Lafayette, LA; Daughter- Sharon A. Hagerich, Bedford; Son- Paul F. husband of Janice (Miller) Hagerich, Bedford; Brother- Robert Hagerich, Johnstown; Brother- Merle Hagerich, Texas; Sister- Carol Dernar, Harrisburg. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Matthew, Jennifer, Ryan and Kenna, and two great grandchildren, Logan and Lane. He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Hagerich and by a brother, Walter "Junior" Hagerich.
Mr. Hagerich was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bedford. He served in the US Army during W.W.II and was a member of the Bedford American Legion Post #113 and the Bedford VFW Post #7527. Mr. Hagerich was employed as a body man and a mechanic until his retirement from Lietenbergers Machine Company.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Bedford at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 28th, 2013 with Father Donald Dusza celebrant.
Committal Service will be held at the St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
Friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Louis Geisel Funeral Home in Bedford, where a vigil for Mr. Hagerich will be held at 3:30 PM.
