With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our loving and devoted son, brother, uncle and friend Keith Scott MacGregor. He passed from this life into eternal life on January 14, 2020, in his 58th year. Keith was born to Carol (Colvin) and Donald MacGregor of Schellsburg, PA.
He is survived by his father, Donald; sister, Christi (married to Bob Wroe) of Elizabeth City, NC; brother, Matthew (married to Shelly Evans) of Schellsburg, PA; and sister Jennifer of Dillsburg, PA. He was a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews including: Sarah (married to Edward Armstrong) of Dallas, TX; Stevie (married to Alex Rohr) of Virginia Beach, VA; Gracie and Mark of Schellsburg, PA; and Allie, Wyatt, and Brooklyn of Dillsburg, PA. Keith is predeceased by his mother, Carol; maternal grandparents, Willard and Ruth (Lambert) Colvin of Schellsburg, PA; and paternal grandparents, William and Marguerite (Feaster) MacGregor of Fishertown, PA.
Keith graduated from Chestnut Ridge Senior High School in 1979, and received his B.A. in political science in 1983 from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. He worked in various management roles within the transportation industry including Roadway Express, YRC, New Penn, and most recently at Saia, Inc.
As a historical enthusiast, Keith was a Civil War Reenactor, volunteering in the 142nd Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, Company F, where he served as Captain for 10 years, and helped to form and organize the group in 1998. He was also a contributing member of the Schellsburg & Old Log Church Historical Society.
He was a great leader and friend to all whose lives he touched. He loved his family and will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, January 16, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8PM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 11:00AM at Faith Brethren Bible Church with Chaplain René Kinard officiating, along with Fr. Ken Yossa.
Interment will be at Schellsburg Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Keith S. MacGregor to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
