Kai A. Burkett

Kai Alexander Burkett, 17, was born at 11:15PM on November 6, 2002. He went to his eternal home with Jesus at 10:23PM on Friday, August 28th, 2020. Kai is the son of Aaron and Marci (Sleek) Burkett of New Paris.

Kai is survived by five brothers and one sister, Aaron Jr. (Buck) 22yr, Kobi 15 yr, Mayci 11yr, Kayne 8 yr, Niko 3 yr, and Jaxtyn 1 week as well as Maternal Grandparents- Rick husband of Jackie (Kennedy) Sleek, New Paris; Paternal Grandparents- Jack husband of  Gloria Burkett, Imler and Great-grandmother- Doris Kennedy, Martinsburg.

Kai attended Faith Brethren Bible Church. He was a Senior at Chestnut Ridge Senior High School where he was a member of the Varsity Golf Team and a captain for the Varsity Wrestling Team. Kai was Vice-President of the Future Business Leaders of America and a member of the National Honor Society. Kai enjoyed hunting, fishing, and raising various farm animals. He aspired to be a Veterinarian and to one day own a deer farm. Kai was the content creator for his own YouTube Channel entitled "Eternity Outdoors". Most of all, Kai enjoyed spending time with family and friends and living life to the fullest.

He will be deeply missed by his parents, his brothers and sister, family, friends and all who knew him.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-9PM at Faith Brethren Bible Church.

A Funeral Service will be held at Faith Brethren Bible Church, New Paris at 11:00AM on Friday, September 4, 2020 with Pastor Jim Espenshade officiating.

Interment at Burkett Family Cemetery at Imler.
