June E. (Mull) Miller
October 11, 1930 — December 23, 2010
Paul and June served in ministry at Jerusalem United Church of Christ in Rimersburg before moving to Schellsburg to accept the pastorship at the Schellsburg United Church of Christ where Paul served until his retirement. June loved being a pastor's wife and even after Paul's death on December 17, 1991, June continued to dedicate her life to the ministries of the UCC church.
June is survived by nieces Kathryn Lynch and husband Howard of Round Rock, Texas and Jessica Benton and husband Steven of Schellsburg, and their children, Joshua McDannell and Cheyenne and Gray Benton.
June is preceded in death by a brother, Donald Roy Mull of Shawsville, VA. She is also survived by four brothers and sisters, Carol Long of Northumberland, Dolores Baxter and husband Richard of Kennett Square, Lucille Snyder and husband Kenneth of Danville, and Dale Mull of Shawsville, Va.
June had many beloved nieces and nephews - including Wendy Breon and husband Paul of Northumberland. She was a wonderful great-aunt to many.
June loved bowling, crafts, nature and camp activities. She was known for her beautiful flower gardens and her love of birds. June was a quiet philanthropist and regularly supported many organizations and causes including the Nature Conservancy, Alzheimer Research, Special Olympics and Cancer Foundations.
June will be remembered and treasured for her loving selflessness and tenacious spirit.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, December 28th from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home in Schellsburg. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 29th at 11am at the Schellsburg United Church of Christ with Rev. Ruth Shaver officiating. Burial at Salem United Church of Christ, Hellers in Leola, PA.
