Mrs. June E. Duffy, 94, of Pensyl Hollow Road, Bedford, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 12:01 AM, on Saturday, November 5th, 2011 at Pennknoll Village.
Mrs. Duffy was born in W. St. Clair Township on Saturday, June 9, 1917, the daughter of the late Elec and Alverna (Otto) MacCleery.
On August 1, 1933, she married R.F. Duffy. He preceded her in death on January 15, 1984.
She is survived by Daughter- Joyce L. wife of Sheldon Corle, Osterburg; Son- John husband of Cheryl (Fetter) Duffy, Bedford; Son- James N. Duffy, Bedford; Son- Jack D. Duffy, New Paris; Daughter- Gail J. wife of Alan England, Everett. June is also survived by 21 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph B. Duffy, a daughter, Josephine Mellott, two grandsons, Steven Duffy and Frank Nelson Duffy, two brothers, Lee MacCleery and James M. MacCleery and by a sister, Lillian Carney
She was affiliated with St. Peters Lutheran Church in St. Clairsville. June helped her husband, R.F. Duffy, run the Algonquin Gap Museum, located at Bills Place and Pensyl Hollow Road, for many many years. The museum displayed a large collection of Bedford County Indian Relics.
June was well known and loved by many and will be missed greatly by her family, neighbors and friends
A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford, at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, November 9th, 2011 with Rev. Robert R. Robertson officiating.
Interment will be held at Osterburg Community Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home in Bedford
