Jude A. Donatelli, 25, of Valley Road, Schellsburg, passed away Friday, May 18th, 2018 at home surrounded by love and support.
Jude was born in Johnstown on February 11, 1993, the son of Matthew and Lisa (Swedler) Donatelli of Schellsburg.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by Sister- Alexandra Nicole Donatelli, at home; Sister- Gabrielle Maria Donatelli, at home and Maternal Grandparents- Andrew James & Kathryn Swedler, Johnstown. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mickie Ligas.
Jude was exceptionally passionate about his life and his pursuits. Whatever phase of his life he was in, he gave his full attention to it. From Barney as a toddler, bugs insects and snakes as a child, he managed to structure his life to encompass his love and passions and determinations. That same determination and drive helped him on the football field in high school where he was named Ken Lantzy all star.
Jude was fearless and open to adventure which led him to a full life in South Carolina where he enjoyed working landscaping in the sun during the day, and filled his nights providing night club security with his dear friend, Kenny, all while going to college for business. Jude balanced his life with abundant activities including fishing and hunting with friends and family and a love for the care and cultivation of orchids. Jude served as an altar server for many years and volunteered at the local soup kitchen. His heart was huge and helpful to everyone, from stray animals to elderly in need. His wild thoughts on life and history were always entertaining and we were constantly learning new information from his trivia filled mind. Jude enjoyed weightlifting and working out and inspired his family to keep moving as well. His life serves as a reminder to embrace everything we can, to love unconditionally and without judgment. Compassion and gratitude were hallmarks of Jude's life, growing in each life phase , alongside his passions and love of family.
