Mrs. Joyce W. Allison, 81, of King St. Clair Road, Alum Bank, died Friday, June 24th, 2016 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

Mrs. Allison was born in Johnstown on Monday, April 8, 1935,  the daughter of the late Warren and Ruth (Clark) Whitcomb.

On April 19, 1958, she married Donald R. Allison.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by their loving children; Daughter- Lynne D. Smith, Alum Bank; Son- Greg K. husband of Debbie (Howsare) Allison, Alum Bank; Daughter- Janice K. wife of Brian Waybright, Osterburg and by a Sister- Helen widow of George Cornell, Osterburg; and a Brother- Thomas husband of Betty (Miller) Whitcomb, Fishertown. She is also survived by six beloved grandchildren, Melissa, Tiffany, Eric, Stephanie, Briana & Cassie, and one very special great granddaughter, Hazel. She was preceded in death by a brother, George Samuel Whitcomb.

Joyce was a member of the Alum Bank United Methodist Church, where she was the former pianist.  She was at one time employed as a secretary to the Superintendent of the Chestnut Ridge School District.  Joyce was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and she will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at Alum Bank United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 28th, 2016  with Rev. Kurtis Knobel & Rev. Charles Jack officiating.

Interment will be held at Fishertown Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc, Pleasantville.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Allison to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478,  Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
