Joseph L. Rhodes, Sr.

Mr. Joseph L. Rhodes, Sr.,89, of North Spring St., Everett, died at 1:45 AM, Sunday, December 30th, 2012 at his home.
Mr. Rhodes, Sr. was born in Ridgeley, WV on Sunday, October 14, 1923, the son of the late George M. and Bridget (Hanley) Rhodes.
On May 9, 1945, he married Jeanette Minnie (Price) Rhodes. She preceded him in death on May 2, 2008. They were married for almost 63 years.
He is survived by Son- Joseph L. Rhodes, Jr., Everett; Daughter- Christine Spicer, Everett; Son- George "Steve" husband of Pam (Lake) Rhodes, Everett; Daughter- Judy wife of Daniel Rush, Everett; Son- Mark Rhodes, Mechanicsburg; Son- Kevin husband of Kathy (Reffner) Rhodes, Everett; Son- Kenny husband of Kathy (Henry) Rhodes, Loysburg; Son- Rocky husband of Barbara (Harr) Rhodes, New Paris; Daughter- Paula wife of Dennis Perrin, Clearville. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah J. McNoldy and by 12 brothers and sisters. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Joe was a truck driver for Tri-County Bulk Milk Haulers. He was a NASCAR and Steelers fan. Joe was a loving father and grandfather who loved and took care of everyone. He will be missed by all those who were blessed to know him.
A funeral service will be held at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., Raystown Road, Everett at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 3rd, 2013 with Rev. Curtis Bryant officiating.
Interment will be held at Frame Church Cemetery, Monroe Twp.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM and Thursday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the funeral home in Everett.
