John Wayne "Johnny" Hillegass

Mr. John Wayne "Johnny"  Hillegass, 47, of Diehl Road, Manns Choice, died at 6:20 AM, Saturday, February 15th, 2014 at his home.

Mr. Hillegass was born in Snake Spring Twp. on Thursday, June 23, 1966,  the son of the late Edmund "Bud" and Willa (Logsdon) Hillegass.

On June 19, 1997, he married Julie D. (Cole) Hillegass.  In addition to his wife of 20 years, he is survived by Daughter- Breanne L. Hillegass, Manns Choice; Step Daughter- Brittany wife of  Jacoby Norris, Pensacola, FL; Step Son- Michael Fochtman, Jr., Manns Choice; Brother- Edward Hillegass, York; Brother- Richard Hillegass, York; Grandchildren- Liam, Landon & Bailey; Nieces- Stacy Mentzer & Jessica Myers; Nephews- TJ Turner, Tyler Turner, Cody & Kailen; and Special Cousin- Doug Turner.

Johnny was a 1985 graduate of Bedford High School and served in the US Army Reserves.  He was employed at Barry Husick Building and Remodeling in Everett, working along side his Uncle Jeff.  Johnny was a member of the the Kennells Mills Sportsmen's Club, the New Baltimore Sportsmen's Club, The Buffalo Rod & Gun Club and the Bedford American Legion Post #113.  He enjoyed NASCAR, three-wheeling, hunting, playing pool, throwing horseshoes and selling tickets for his various clubs.

A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 20th, 2014.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Schellsburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Commonwealth Bank, in the name of Julie Hillegass, 9503 Lincoln Highway, Bedford, PA 15522.
