Mr. John P. Fochtman, 60, of Indian Eve Road, New Paris, died at 7:10 PM, Monday, May 21st, 2012 at his home
Mr. Fochtman was born in Berlin on Tuesday, July 24, 1951, the son of the late Paul and Imogene "Jake" (Benning) Fochtman.
He is survived by Son- Marc A. Fochtman, Bakersville; Daughter- Marci Larimer, Somerset; Son- John Fochtman, Jr., Somerset; Daughter- Lindsey M. Fochtman, New Paris; Daughter- Rebecca J. Fochtman, New Paris; Step-Father- Willard "Red" Stiffler, Bedford; Sister- Mary Caton, Berlin; Brother- Samuel Fochtman, Berlin; Brother- Harry Fochtman, Berlin; Sister- Rita Lewis, Manns Choice; Brother- George Fochtman, Berlin; Sister- Anna Hankinson, New Baltimore; Sister- Dorothy Bowser, Manns Choice; Half Sister- Diane Buck, New Paris; Half Brother- Brian Fochtman, Westfield, NY; Half Sister- Tina Neal, Westfield, NY. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Scott, Tyler and Jacob. John is also survived by his former wives, Janora (Stouffer) of Somerset and Connie M. (Pugh) of New Paris. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer, two sisters, Lois Fochtman and Pauline Sarver and by a half-brother, Dennis Fochtman
John was a member of the Solid Rock Christian Fellowship Church in Bedford. He was employed for 29 years with PBS Coal Company and owned the Fochtman family Leather Shop. John was a member of the Draft Horse Association
A Funeral Service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 25th, 2012 with Pastor Wayne Magruder officiating.
Interment will be held at St. Johns Cemetery, New Baltimore.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
