John Forest Henderson, 86, of Grand View Ave., Everett, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021.
Mr. Henderson was born in Windber, PA on February 10, 1935, son of the late John W. and Rae W. (Stroup) Henderson.
On November 6, 1999 John married Amy (Houser) Henderson.
He is survived by wife, Amy, his children, Deanna Kelly (Mike), Deborah Zetts (Brendan), Brad Henderson (Josey), Gregory Snow (Marge), Roberta Elbert (Dan), Douglas Houser (Cheryl) and J.T. Houser, as well as 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
John was a graduate of Bedford High School, class of 1952, and Gettysburg College. John served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. He was owner of his own manufacturers representative business, Henderson & Snow Sales. Prior to owning his own business, John was a Vice President of Savogran Co., General Sales Manager with American Brush Co., National Sales Manager of Thomas Industries and Product Manager with Ekco Housewares.
He was an avid golfer and a member of Country Club of Hudson (OH), Silver Lake Country Club (OH) and Desert Falls Country Club (Palm Desert, CA). John enjoyed boating and fishing off Cape Cod. He also enjoyed following Pitt and Ohio State football, as well as the Steelers and Browns. He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Homewood at Spring House Estates Pavilion weather permitting on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 1:30PM. If the weather is inclement the Celebration of Life will be held in the Dining Room at Spring House.
Interment at Schellsburg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or Bedford Presbyterian Church.
