Mr. Jimmie Dean "Jim" Wright, 74, of Raystown Road, Everett died Friday, February 15th, 2013 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.

Mr. Wright was born in Defiance on Wednesday, October 12, 1938,  the son of the late Harvey and Kittie (Grove) Wright.

On November 11, 1966, he married Betty Lou (Stoner) Wright.  In addition to his wife he is survived by Son- Joe Foor, New Jersey; Daughter-in-Law- Linda, Hopewell; Granddaughter- April Imler, New Enterprise; Brother- Bob husband of  Joyce (Sipes) Wright, McConnellsburg; Brother- Dick husband of  Laura (Rourke) Wright, Chambersburg; Sister- Delphine Bussard, Bedford. , and two great grandchildren, Skylar and Jeremy.  He was preceded in death by two sisters, Rosalee Grace and Nancy Zydrosky.

Jim was a member of the Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren.  He was employed as a heavy equipment operator for New Enterprise Stone & Lime Company.  Jim served Bedford County for many years first as a deputy sheriff then as the Bedford County Sheriff.  He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local, the Everett F & AM Masonic Lodge #524 and he was a social member of the Saxton VFW Post #4129.

Jim enjoyed hunting, was talented at carpentry work and loved spending time with his grandchildren.  He was a loving husband, a caring father and grandfather, a wonderful brother and uncle and a great friend and community activist.  He will be remembered fondly and missed greatly by those who had been blessed to know him.  .

A funeral service will be held at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., Everett at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 20th, 2013 with Pastor Alan Brumbaugh officiating.

Interment will be held at  Bethel Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM  and on Wednesday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the funeral home in Everett.  Masonic services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:30 PM.
