Mr. J. Frank Williams, 79, of Orchard Way, Bedford, died Wednesday, August 12th, 2015 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.
Mr. Williams was born in Johnstown on Wednesday, August 21, 1935, the son of the late John E. and Pearl (Pataki) Williams.
He is survived by Son- Michael K. husband of Rhonda Williams, Woodbridge, VA; Son- Michael Robert husband of Barbara Williams, Schellsburg; Daughter- Wendy Sue Gorsuch, Johnstown; Brother- Ronald J. husband of Linda Williams, Bedford. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Natalie Rager and husband Dustin, Mikey Williams, William Nutting and wife Amy and Joey Gorsuch, seven great grandchildren, Alyssa, Mya, Kenny, Austin, Mickey, Collin & Shelby and two great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Kenneth Gorsuch.
Frank was a member of the St. John's Reformed Church in Bedford. He graduated from Chestnut Ridge High School in 1953 before serving in the US Navy for 12 years. He was a ceramic tile contractor and owned and operated Williams Tile Contracting. Frank was previously an Assistant Boy Scout Troop Leader and he had been a member of the Bedford Legion, the Bedford Moose Lodge and was a former member of the Lions Club. Frank was a talented musician, proficient on the trumpet, mandolin & violin. He was also member of the Harmony Hills Singers. Frank loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and enjoyed boating camping, motorcycling and fishing at Deep Creek Lake. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be greatly missed.
A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 15th, 2015 with Pastor Brady Plummer officiating. Military rites will be accorded by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
Interment will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
Friends are invited to call on Friday 6:00 - 8:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the funeral home in Bedford.
