Jesse Delbert Miller

Mr. Jesse Delbert  Miller, 90, of Winegardner Road, Schellsburg,  died at 7:42 PM, Tuesday, November 29th, 2011 at Pennknoll Village.

Mr. Miller was born in Napier Township,  on Friday, March 25, 1921,   the son of the late Forrest R. and Freda L. (Manges) Miller.

On October 10, 1941, he married Betty K. (McCreary) Miller.  She preceded him in death on March 21, 1976.  He then married Devoy "Bonnie" (McCreary) Clark-Miller on September 7, 1978.

Mr. Miller was a member of the Helixville United Methodist Church and was employed as a machinist for Kennametal in Bedford for 37 years and as a farmer.  He served in the US Army during W.W.II and was an avid hunter.

In addition to his wife he is survived by Daughter- Gale Gammill, York; Daughter- Darlene Hillegass, Marietta; Step Son- Terry  Clark, Apopka, FL; Step Son- Randy Clark, Carlisle; Brother- Stotler Miller, Bedford; Sister- Geraldine Hafer, Matthews, NC; Sister- Anne  Ferrell, Franklin, NC.  He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by three sons, Jesse Delbert "Bubby" Miller, Jr., Dennis Miller and Roy Miller, and infant brother and by two brothers, William Miller and Jay Miller.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home in Schellsburg with Rev. Ralph Landis officiating.

Interment will be held at Helixville Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call on Friday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home and again at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shawnee Valley Volunteer Fire Company, Schellsburg.
